When translated literally, Sargol Saffron means “top part of the flower” or All Red Saffron.
Many refer to All-Red (Sargol) as “pure” saffron.
Our all-red saffron is of the highest quality, second only to Super Negin. It is made from only undamaged red stigmas which are separated by hand during the harvest process. The white or yellow part of the stigma that extends into the head of the flower, called Khame, is removed and also that have been delicately and professionally cut and split from the style after drying. Stigmas that are cut this way do not entrap the moisture that is inside.
All red saffron is highly recommended for cuisine, health, medical, and various commercial applications.
